Introducing Donna Murray

Donna Murray

Today we are announcing the final appointment to the team behind Art North. It’s with immense pleasure that we can now reveal that Donna Murray will be joining us as Editorial Assistant & Outreach Coordinator. For our readers in the Highlands of Scotland, we are sure that Donna will need no introduction. With an MSc in Cultural Policy and Management (Edinburgh University), and a Fine Art graduate of Gray’s School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Donna worked for the Scottish Arts Council (2002-2006), where she was External Relations Secretary working within the press, publication and design department (among several other roles).

Donna also spent three months as Artist in Residence at Strathnaver Museum, working with one of Art North’s contributors, the poet and playwright George Gunn, producing an exhibition of poetry and visual art relating to the Highland Clearances. Subsequently, as owner of North Coast Arts, she is involved in the provision of life-long learning in the community, and as Artist Curator works with Scottish and International artists from her base here on the Far North Coast. Donna will be working for Art North on a part-time basis and we consider ourselves very lucky to have her on board. She will be Art North’s first point of contact for artists and venues wishing to work with us in expanding our coverage of the fine arts of Northern Latitudes in Scotland and beyond.

Although Art North subscribers and readers who pre-ordered already have their copies of the first issue of the magazine, our official publication date is actually 1 March. If you would like to receive a copy, you can purchase single copies or annual subscriptions online here.

With Donna’s valuable input and assistance, we will also be announcing a list of exclusive stockists for the magazine very soon. Venues wishing to be added to our stockist list still have time to contact us if they wish to be included. Please contact:
